We offer our customers total port solutions. Because we’ve been
planning, designing and driving some of the most demanding projects
for over 100 years, our experience is hard to beat. Our
multi-disciplinary base is so wide you can call on us for any
maritime service – from business case planning or consequence
management to risk assessment and environmental management.
We’ve also learnt from experience that no two projects are the
same, nor the goals of any two customers, so we make sure right
from the start we’re fully in tune with our customers’ objectives
and tailor every service to meet your specific needs.
Our dedicated in-house maritime group incorporates leading
specialists with an established track record in port planning,
maritime economics, financial and economic analysis as well as port
and terminal design. In addition, our strength in all other
transport modes plus urban planning and environmental impact
mitigation gives us the advantage of being able to provide an all
embracing intermodal service.
Our extensive global portfolio of maritime projects covers break
bulk and containerised cargo facilities, ro-ro terminals, bulk
cargo ports and tanker berths.
We’re fully equipped to meet the ever increasing demands of port
and terminal development, with skills encompassing strategic port
studies, terminal planning, hydraulic studies, numerical and
physical modelling, ship simulation studies, infrastructure design,
construction supervision, transport economics and privately
financed projects.
Our project portfolio ranges from master planning a World Bank
funded scheme for Bangladesh’s ports system to designing a new
150,000dwt oil transhipment terminal at Fujairah in the United Arab
Emirates, and serving as lenders’ engineer for a new container
handling facility in Hong Kong.
Following the latest surge of growth in the cruise ship industry,
we’re helping port operators develop terminals that allow for
varied itineraries, more optional flexibility and larger vessels.
